    FEMA announced federal emergency aid has been made available to the state of Texas to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in areas affected by a severe winter storm beginning on Feb. 11, 2021 and continuing.

    Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated area can begin applying for assistance by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362 or 1-800-462-7585 TTY.

    • The City of Waco Rental Assistance Program https://covidwaco.com/rental-assistance/ has postponed accepting applications due to inclement weather.  Information regarding the program can be viewed on the Covid Waco website under rental assistance.

    COVID-19 Vaccine Information

     Governor Greg Abbott has issued Executive Order 29 requiring all Texans to wear a face covering.  Please review the proclamation for additional information.

    As of November 29, 2020, Pursuant to Executive Order GA 32 issued by Governor Abbot:
    The number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients in Trauma Service Area M remains above 15%, making it an area of high hospitalizations. As a result, all restaurants, retail stores, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, gyms, exercise facilities and classes, museums and libraries in McLennan County are required to return to maximum 50 percent occupancy levels.
     The opt in certification allowing bars to operate also must be decertified due to the hospitalization rate.
