* FY 2011 Adopted Road and Bridge Fund Budgets
The Road and Bridge Fund is a constitutional fund established to account for current
funds used for the purpose of constructing and maintaining roads and bridges. The
principal sources of revenues for this fund are ad valorem taxes, licenses and permits,
intergovernmental revenues and fines and forfeits.
The County is divided into four precints, each of which is administered by one of
the four County Commissioners. Each precinct has its separate budget for the construction
and maintenance of roads in the precinct.

FY 2011 Lateral Road & Bridge Adopted Budgets
Lateral Road Funds are receieved from the State
each year pursuant to the Transportation Code Chapter 256. As set out in 256.003,
a county may use the funds received under 256.002, as follows:

Purchasing ROW for lateral roads, F-M roads or state highways. |

2. |
Constructing and maintaining lateral roads, including labor, the purchase of materials,
supplies and equipment. |

3. |
Paying the principal, interest and sinking funds requirements ... on bonds, warrants
or other legal obligations incurred to finance certain activites. |
