Information About the Alternative Center
- The Alternative Center is located on the property
of the Juvenile Probation Department but is a stand alone shelter for runaways.
- It is operated by the Juvenile Probation Department
and has a rated capacity of 10.
- The Waco Independent School District provides
the educational services for these juveniles.
- Medical services are provided by the department’s
medical staff.
- Visitation is allowed from 3:30 p.m.-5:00
p.m., Monday-Friday, but is limited to the parents/guardians.
