414th District Court


Court Agenda & Jurisdiction


The 414th District Court is a Court of general jurisdiction. Civil and family law cases are assigned to each District Court on a random computer-generated basis.


Jury Trials


Jurors report at 9 a.m. to be assigned to the various courts. Jury trials normally begin on Monday with jury selection at 10 a.m.

    

Court Etiquette


All hearings are open to public. Professional attire is expected in court. No shorts, tank tops, hats, or bare feet are allowed.


Standing Order


The District Judges of McLennan County have entered a Standing Order Regarding Children, Property and Conduct of the Parties (PDF). This order applies to all divorce petitions and suits affecting parent-child relationships, (except AG initiated cases and CPS cases), filed after May 5, 2008.
