EXPERIENCE:
Will Jones moved to Waco in 1990 to attend Baylor University where he graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance. Upon graduation, he had a successful career in the private sector as a stockbroker and in the real estate business. He has extensive experience with analyzing and preparing budgets, cash management, and managing portfolios.
Will Jones expresses a deep commitment to our community and demonstrated it by running for Public Office in 2012 and is currently your County Commissioner For McLennan County Precinct 3 - encompassing North Waco, Woodway, West, Gholson, Ross, Leroy, Lacy Lakeview, Elm Mott and portions of Bellmead.
He is a Lifelong Republican and former candidate for McLennan County Republican Chairman.
He has been married to his lovely wife Merryl for 23 years and they have 2 sons, Grant and Reid.
The Jones Family are members of the Antioch Community Church of Waco.
As County Commissioner of Precinct 3, Will currently serves on the McLennan County Finance Committee; Waco MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization); Public Power Pool Technical Committee; TIF Zone Board (Tax Increment Finance); Heart of Texas Fair Board; the McLennan County Rural Transportation District; City Center Board; Conference of Urban Counties Policy Board (appointed 2021), HOTCOG Transit Committee (appointed 2021) - and countless other organizations as appointed by the Commissioners Court.
With his deep commitment to community, Will Jones has co-chaired non-profit events and continues to donate his time to organizations such as the:

- Lake Air Little League
- Muscular Dystrophy Association
- Waco Rotary Club
- West Kiwanis
- Woodway Family Center
