1. How do I obtain an occupational driver's license?

You will need the following items to obtain an occupational driver's license: 

* A copy of your driving record 

* SR-22 from your insurance company 

* Petition for occupational driver's license 

* Waiver of hearing 

* Order granting occupational driver's license. The form for this order can be obtained by clicking the link below. It's the only order the judges will accept.  Note, you will need to provide at least 3 copies of each of the items above. Otherwise, if we have to make copies, they are $1.00 per page.

2. What are the County Court Civil fees?

3. What is the Civil County Courts Jurisdiction?

County Court Jurisdictional limits are $500.00 to $200,000.00.

4. Do we collect service fees for the constables?

Yes, we do collect service fees for our constables, which are $90.00 per citation, $175.00 per writ.

5. Do the County Courts have forms/paperwork to help file a law suit?

The county courts have no paperwork or forms to fill out to help you along with filing a suit. We are clerks and can not give legal advice.

6. Do the County Courts provide Civil Searches?

Yes, but civil name searches are not done over the phone, unless you pre-pay by credit card . Civil searches are $5 per name. To request a civil name search by mail, we will need a written request, which includes the name to search for and any identifiers (i.e.- Date of Birth) and the a date range to search (i.e.- 1990-2010), along with your check or money order.

7. Do the County Courts supply copies?

Yes, you can request copies of our files, which are $1 per page.

8. What type of payments does the County Clerks Office accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash, cashier’s checks or money orders, made payable to McLennan County Clerk.

9. What are the requirements to refund a cash bond?

In order to refund a cash bond the following items are required: the criminal case has to be finalized, there has to be a signed order from the Judge to release a cash bond, and a current valid drivers license and/or government issued photo identification.
